CD Recording of "Childhood"In December, 2010, we finished the recording of our first CD and we are now in the editing, mixing, and cover design stage. The CD will have Schumann's "Kinderzenen" (Scenes from Childhood) Suite from our Fall 2009 repertoire with Mendelssohn's "Sechs Kinderstücke" from Fall 2010. | Updated February 8, 2011 |
Spring 2011 SeasonIn the Spring 2011 Season, the orchestra will be studying the sacred work "Stabat Mater" by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, 1736. This is a Medioeval poem written about Mary, mother of Jesus, and her thoughts at the foot of the cross, set to music. It will be performed around Easter 2011 with two singers. Rehearsals start in January. We are now accepting new suitably qualifed orchestra members who would like to join us for the new season. | November 4, 2010 |
